The conclusion of Matt Reeves’ The Batman sets the stage or introduces elements that will be explored in the upcoming installment. However, the movie is facing delays in its production process, which has moved its potential release window to October 2026, instead of 2025, as per a report by Deadline.

When The Batman came out two years ago, Pattinson spoke with GQ and revealed how he was busy decoding the role of the Caped Crusader during the pandemic, after he was cast in 2019.

He said, “I just always had this anchor of Batman. Rather than thinking you’re flotsam to the news, you could feel engaged without being paralyzed by it…I was so incredibly busy the whole time, doing something that was also super high pressure, by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”

Notably, Pattinson is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie Mickey 17, which is directed by none other than Parasite director Bong Joon-Ho. It is slated to come out next year.
