While Deadpool & Wolverine re-introduced fans to a plethora of superheroes through multiple well-crafted cameos, the movie still left out a number of pivotal X-Men characters. One such superhero was Halle Berry‘s Storm, who was willing to return in Deadpool’s debut outing in the MCU. Nevertheless, the film did a splendid job of opening up the franchise to the potential comebacks of legacy Marvel characters in the future. As such, many believe that Halle Berry still has the chance to return as Storm in Avengers: Secret Wars, including the actress herself.
Halle Berry has ‘fingers crossed’ for Storm’s possible return in Avengers: Secret Wars
In a recent discussion, The Union star has stated that anything is possible when it comes to reprising her X-Men role.
While talking to Josh Wilding, Halle Berry disclosed that she is hopeful of returning as Storm in future projects. “Perhaps you never know. We’ll find out, fingers crossed,” the 58-year-old actress said.
Earlier, Berry had touched down upon her surprising absence from Deadpool & Wolverine, as per ComicBook. She explained that she had the desire to appear in the film and even talked to Blake Lively about it. “Blake [Lively] asked me one time, I ran into her at a Marc Jacobs fashion show, and she said, ‘Would you ever be in my husband’s movie as Storm?’,” the actress revealed. “I said, ‘Yeah, if he asked me,’ but he never asked me,” she added.
Halle Berry’s enthusiasm to return as a superhero extends beyond her role as Storm in the X-Men franchise. Aside from the weather-bending mutant, she is also open to revisiting her critically panned portrayal of Catwoman.
“I would revisit any of them, actually,” Berry stated. “I loved all of those characters and I was always grateful to get to play them and be a part of those big franchises, you know? So I would revisit any of them,” she added.
The Hollywood veteran last donned her iconic Storm costume in 2014 during a brief appearance in X-Men: Days of Future Past. However, Hugh Jackman’s successful return as Wolverine could open up the possibility for Halle Berry to reprise her role as Storm in the MCU.
