Sasha Calle, the actress who played the character of Supergirl in The Flash (2023) has offered some advice to Milly Alcock. The latter was cast as the superhero in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. It is expected to be the second film of DC’s rebooted cinematic universe. Despite being recast after playing Supergirl just once before the DC universe was rebooted, Sasha Calle showed a sense of companionship. She shared her reaction while cheering for the House of the Dragon actress for taking on the role.

Sasha Calle offers key advice to Milly Alcock for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow

Sasha Calle recently attended the Toronto International Film Festival. Her film, On Swift Horses, premiered at the auspicious event.

While Calle was sharing her opinions about her new film, IndieWire asked her about her thoughts on Milly Alcock taking over to play Supergirl in the new DC Universe. Sharing words of motivation for Alcock, Calle said, “Have so much fun. You look so badass. Just f**king kill it and have fun.”

According to Screen Rant, it’s not just Calle who has expressed her excitement to have Alcock become her successor. Helen Slater, who wore the red cape in the 1984 movie Supergirl, also congratulated Alcock. She shared a collage on Instagram of all the actresses who played Supergirl on screen. Slater wrote, “Congratulations to the luminous Milly Alcock, the next Supergirl! DC universe awaits you! You will be AMAZING!!”

James Gunn was also among the users who commented on this post. Moreover, he has previously admitted how Milly Alcock was the first person that crossed his mind when he thought of who would play Supergirl in DC. He wrote on Threads, “Milly (Alcock) was the FIRST person I brought up to Peter for this role, well over a year ago, when I had only read the comics.”
