Rebel Moon director Zack Snyder recently couldn’t help but let his inner thoughts unwind and talk about the Russo Brothers. Experiencing a whole fan moment, he sang praises of the legendary director duo on a podcast and revealed how he is an absolute admirer of their work. Apart from this, Zack Snyder also provided his opinion on The Russo Brothers returning to the MCU to direct Avengers 5 and 6. Here is what he said.

Zack Snyder was recently present on a podcast hosted by Jake Hamilton and Sean O’Connell.

In this fun conversation with ReelBlend exceeding 30 minutes, Snyder talked about his movie Rebel Moon. He also spoke about the director’s cut of the two parts that went out on Netflix on August 2, 2024. However, toward the end of the interview, one of the hosts questioned him about his feelings on the return of The Russo Brothers at Marvel.

Without wasting any time, as seen in the YouTube video, Snyder asserted, “I think that’s great for them. They’re amazing, and they’ve done really, I think they’ve done great work with those guys. I’m sure they’ll do something amazing.” He further complimented the work done by The Russo Brothers and their directing prowess. Zack Snyder added, “They’re talented guys, and I think they’ll do something cool. I think it’s time to shake it up a little bit.”

The news of the Russo Brothers returning to the MCU was reported by the Hollywood Reporter on July 17, 2024. Post their successful stint with Marvel by giving the studio Avengers: Endgame, they directed some great projects like Netflix’s The Gray Man. However, since Marvel has been facing a tough time at the box office, the duo is back to the director’s chair. The Russo Brothers will soon be helming Avengers 5: Doomsday and Avengers 6: Secret Wars.
