WandaVision Concept Art Reveals Wholesome Home Life

After the D23 Expo this weekend in Anaheim, CA, we have a better idea of what we’re in for with WandaVision, a new limited series that will air exclusively on Disney+. During SDCC, we learned that the events of the Doctor Strange sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, will result from the events of Wanda Maximoff’s (Elizabeth Olsen) seemingly idyllic life with her robot husband, Vision (Paul Bettany).

Late Sunday night, Andy Parks, Marvel Studios Concept Artist and Director of Visual Development posted an image to Twitter of the show’s concept art, which shows a very Leave It to Beaver-style look, with the two titular characters enjoying some extraordinarily wholesome quality time in their living room. Of course, in the back, we see their superhero counterparts in the shadow. This suggests that there’s much more to this illusion than apple pie and white picket fences.

Scarlet Witch and Vision last appeared together in last summer’s blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War. There, though, the duo parted on rather depressing terms. Scarlet Witch attempted, nay, destroyed the infinity stone inside Vision’s head, thus killing the man she loved. Except Thanos used the time stone in his gauntlet to undo her actions, which brought Vision back to life … but then he died again when Thanos removed the stone from his head and completed his quest to collect all the infinity stones. The infamous snap heard ’round the universe then effectively turned Scarlet Witch to ash.
