Patrick Stewart To Play Bosley In Charlie’s Angels Reboot

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Patrick Stewart (X-MenStar Trek: The Next Generation) will be playing one of two Bosleys in the upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot directed, written, and produced by Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect 2).

Banks will be portraying another Bosley in the film as the Townsend Agency has gone international with multiple teams located across the world. In the original series, Bosley was represented by one man played by David Doyle. Bill Murray also portrayed the iconic character in the film adaptation released in 2000. While Murray didn’t return for the sequel, Bernie Mac played Bosley’s brother, Jimmy Bosley, in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. ABC also attempted to bring back the show with a modern 2011 series but was ultimately cancelled after only one season due to low ratings.

This new take on the Angels will feature Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska in the lead roles of the three female agents employed by the elusive Charles Townsend. It is unclear whether the various Bosleys are related (Bosley being their last name) or how the multiple Bosleys will play into the plot. This adaptation would build off of both the original TV series and the newer films while breathing fresh ideas into the franchise.
