A new Superman sneak preview will be shown during the 2025 Puppy Bowl.
The annual Puppy Bowl is returning for its 21st year on Sunday, February 9, at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT. The event will be simulcast across Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS, truTV, Max, and Discovery+.
Warner Bros. Discovery has announced that this year’s Puppy Bowl will include a “special sneak peek” of Superman, which releases in July 2025.
Superman writer and director James Gunn and his dog, Ozu, will deliver a “special message” during the game. Additionally, one dog “who displays ‘super’ abilities” will be given a Krypto Super Play Award.
“Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl serves as an annual pop culture programming event that continues to expand in reach, awareness and of course, puppies, every year,” said U.S. Networks and Discovery Networks’ Howard Lee. “Win or lose, Puppy Bowl XXI will have the cutest players in the game on Sunday, February 9 and will inspire families across the country to adopt a new furry friend.”
What do we know about James Gunn’s Superman movie?
Superman will be the first official feature film entry in Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU. It stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, Neva Howell as Martha Kent, and more.

Superman will be released in United States theaters on July 11, 2025.
