Tom Hardy Addresses Spider-Man Appearing in Venom 3 Rumors

Rumors of Spider-Man appearing in Venom: The Last Dance have been swirling for some time, and recently, Tom Hardy teased the possibility once again.

During an appearance at a screening for the movie captured by fans, Hardy was asked if Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man could appear in the movie. Hardy was coy with his answer, and simply said that anything is possible for this last entry in the Venom franchise.

What did Tom Hardy say about Spider-Man?

“You know, there are always possibilities,” said Hardy. “I can’t say anything, because this is the last movie. I would love that.”

Fans have been hoping to see Spider-Man and Venom appear in a film together again ever since Hardy first began playing Venom in 2018. Since then, however, the closest fans have come was in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, when Hardy’s Eddie Brock was transported to the MCU’s New York and accidentally left a piece of the Venom symbiote behind.

Aside from Holland’s inclusion in The Last Dance, rumors have also popped up that Hardy could appear in some fashion in the next Spider-Man movie starring Holland. Of course, with Hardy seeming pretty emphatic that his days as Venom are all but over, it’s currently unsure whether or not fans will ever see the two go at it in a movie.

“In Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy returns as Venom, one of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters, for the final film in the trilogy,” reads the synopsis. “Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance.”

Alongside Hardy, Venom: The Last Dance also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach and Stephen Graham.

The Last Dance marks the feature directorial debut of Kelly Marcel, who wrote screenplays for the first two films. The third installment will once again feature the Mad Max: Fury Road star in his dual role as Eddie Brock and the titular symbiote.

It is produced by Hardy and Marcel. Marcel wrote the script from a story she co-created with Hardy. Additional producers include Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and Hutch Parker.

Venom: The Last Dance is set to release in theaters on October 25, 2024.
