New The Phantom Menace Anniversary Poster Celebrates Star Wars Movie’s Theatrical Rerelease

Lucasfilm has released a new poster for Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace’s upcoming theatrical rerelease.

In celebration of the film’s 25th anniversary, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace will return to United States theaters starting on May 3, 2024. Tickets for the rerelease are currently on sale.

The Phantom Menace rerelease comes with new Acolyte footage

The Phantom Menace rerelease screenings will also offer fans an exclusive look at Star Wars: The Acolyte, the new Disney+ series releasing this summer.

“In The Acolyte, an investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg),” the synopsis for the series reads. “As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems….”

The Acolyte, which premieres on June 4, 2024, also stars Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss. The series was created by Russian Doll’s Leslye Headland.

Additionally, Star Wars fans will have the opportunity to see all nine films of the Skywalker Saga in theaters for a marathon event this coming May. Visit Fandango by clicking here for more information.

Released in 1999, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace was directed and written by George Lucas. The film stars Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn, Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Natalie Portman as Padamé Amidala, Jake Lloyd as Anakin Skywalker, Ian McDiarmid as Palpatine, Ahmed Best as Jar Jar Binks, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Kenny Baker as R2-D2, Pernilla August as Shmi Skywalker, and Frank Oz as Yoda.
