With the titular park in shambles and dinosaurs running free all over the world, the Jurassic World franchise is officially entering uncharted territory. However, that’s exactly what makes Jurassic World: Dominion one of the most highly-anticipated films of the summer. Ahead of its premiere, Universal has released a new Dominion featurette that examines just how big the sequel will go.
The video features interviews with several of the film’s cast members, including Chris Pratt, who reminds us that Owen, Claire, and Maisie are all hiding out in a remote cabin together following the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Their solitude is interrupted by the arrival of the velociraptor Blue and her new offspring. But when Blue’s baby is suddenly kidnapped, the trio is forced to come out of hiding.
This sets the stage for a globe-trotting adventure that reveals how dinosaurs and humans have been sharing the planet since the previous film ended. Based on what we’ve seen so far, it hasn’t been going so well. But at least the film’s itinerary features stops at a wide variety of stunning locations to keep the chases interesting. And according to Pratt, the franchise will tread new ground in more ways than one.

“We give you something that you want, but do not expect,” said Pratt.
Surprisingly, even the returning legacy actors were impressed by the much broader scope of the sequel. Sam Neill, who’s back as Dr. Alan Grant for the first time in over 20 years, remarked, “I’ve never seen action like this, ever.” Meanwhile, Jeff Goldblum (Dr. Ian Malcolm) promised that the movie will feature “the most scary and awesome dinosaurs you’ve ever seen.”
Jurassic World: Dominion will open in theaters on June 10.
