Dwayne Johnson Confirms Black Adam Reshoots, Reveals New Suit Image

Unfortunately, Black Adam won’t be hitting theaters this summer like Warner Bros. and DC originally planned. But the movie’s recent delay gives the cast and crew extra time to deliver an epic adventure worthy of the title character’s name. With reshoots currently underway, Johnson once again hyped the film’s release by posting a new photo from the set on his official Instagram page. The image (snapped by producer Hiram Garcia) also gives us one of our best looks yet at his character’s costume.

Warner Bros. announced Black Adam’s delay earlier this year alongside several other DC tentpoles, including The Flash and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Last week, Garcia explained that work stoppages caused by the COVID-19 outbreak created backlogs at several VFX studios. But thankfully, things are getting back to normal; and it doesn’t sound like Johnson’s confidence in the film has wavered in the least.

You can check out Johnson’s new photo below.

Director Jaume Collet-Serra is also on the film’s set to preside over the reshoots. However, it’s not clear if any of Johnson’s co-stars are filming new scenes as well. In the meantime, Johnson is also gearing up for the release of another upcoming DC movie, DC League of Super-Pets, in which he voices Krypto the Superdog. That film will arrive on Black Adam‘s previous date of July 29.

Black Adam will fly into theaters on October 21.
