Will Arnett Is a Grown-up, Evil Peter Pan in Rescue Rangers Trailer 2

Well, clearly somebody lived long enough to become a villain. In the new Chip n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers trailer 2 for Disney+, the Boy Who Never Grew Up…did. And he’s kind of a dick. Also seemingly the main villain in this meta-take on Rescue Rangers as a sort-of Who Framed Roger Rabbit clone. It appears we can expect Disney cameos galore, from the classic — The Little Mermaid‘s Flounder — to the modern, like Seth Rogen’s CG, photo-real Pumbaa.

But the most jarring change is Will Arnett as middle-aged Peter Pan. While he always came off kind of an obnoxious kid, moviegoers have traditionally expected him to grow up to be Robin Williams or something. Not this time. Like Baby Herman, he may have just been playing a character in the movies.

Check it out below, but beware of possible childhood ruination.

Disney+ also unveiled a new poster, reminding viewers of the imminent May 20 release date:

Here’s the official synopsis: “Chip and Dale are living amongst cartoons and humans in modern-day Los Angeles, but their lives are quite different now. It has been decades since their successful television series was canceled, and Chip (voice of Mulaney) has succumbed to a life of suburban domesticity as an insurance salesman. Dale (voice of Samberg), meanwhile, has had CGI surgery and works the nostalgia convention circuit, desperate to relive his glory days. When a former castmate mysteriously disappears, Chip and Dale must repair their broken friendship and take on their Rescue Rangers detective personas once again to save their friend’s life.”
