Each of the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies have introduced new dinosaurs, and Jurassic World Dominion will be no exception. But instead of making up a fictional hybrid, this sequel’s main dino is based on the Giganotosaurus. And according to director Colin Trevorrow, it has some personality traits in common with Heath Ledger’s take on a very famous comic book villain.
“I wanted something that felt like the Joker,” said Trevorrow in the latest issue of Empire Magazine. “It just wants to watch the world burn.”
Ahead of next week’s issue, Empire also released a pic of The Giga as it menaces the film’s expanded cast.
