Some of your favorite Autobots and Decepticons are getting a facelift when Transformers: Rise of the Beasts arrives next year. As production continues, director Steven Caple Jr. and star Anthony Ramos have shared new images of the “robots in disguise” in their vehicular forms. Check them out for yourself below.
The first photo shows Caple surrounded by the movie’s cast of Autobots. That includes Optimus Prime, sporting a look that’s much closer to his G1 design than previous films; Bumblebee, still taking the form of a Chevy Camaro, but this time with new off-road enhancements; Mirage, a Porsche 964; Wheeljack, a classic Volkswagen van; and Arcee, a Ducati 916 motorcycle.

Meanwhile, the second image gives fans a look at some of the new villains who will appear in the film. Leading the pack is Scourge, who leads the Terrorcons and transforms into a logging truck. We also see Nightbird, another Terrorcon whose alternate form is a Nissan Skyline GT-R R33. An orange tow truck appears in the photo as well, but it’s not clear which character this is supposed to be.
Rise of the Beasts takes place in 1994 and stars Ramos as Noah, an ex-soldier-turned-electronics whiz who lives with his family in Brooklyn and eventually finds himself fighting alongside Optimus Prime (once again voiced by Peter Cullen) and his merry band of heroes. The new film will also mark the live-action debut of characters from Hasbro’s Beast Wars, with Predacons and Maximals joining the fray. Ron Perlman is already confirmed to be voicing the Maximals’ leader, Optimus Primal.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will hit theaters on June 24, 2022.
