It appears that nobody is more excited about the upcoming Black Adam movie than Dwayne Johnson himself. Sure, Johnson is portraying the titular antihero in addition to producing the film, but he also turned into an inexhaustible source of news from the set. While the cameras are still rolling in Atlanta, Georgia, Johnson took up to his socials to drop the first look at the costume he is wearing.
“This image of Black Adam from behind gives you a tactile sense of the absolute massive scale and size of our movie,” he wrote. “You also see a little of the intricate and beautiful textured detail of Black Adam’s body suit. (This is not your typical DC or Marvel padded muscle suit). And finally you get a glimpse of the enormous and appropriate destruction. As we all know, superheroes have a code of justice and don’t kill the bad guys. But, Black Adam does. The hierarchy of power in the DC UNIVERSE is changing.”

The Black Adam cast features Dwayne Johnson as the title character, plus Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, and Sarah Shahi as Adrianna. The movie had to suffer a delay in production due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and it will debut in theaters on July 29, 2022.
