Comedian Mo Amer Joins the Black Adam Movie

After a long stint in development hell, the Black Adam movie is finally filming this week. And with the start of production comes another new cast member. Deadline is reporting that stand-up comedian Mo Amer has joined the cast of Black Adam. However, specifics about Amer’s role have not yet been disclosed.

Amer currently co-stars as Mo on the Hulu original series, Ramy. He also has a stand-up comedy special on Netflix called Mo Amer: The Vagabond. Additionally, he is slated to appear in the upcoming comedy film, Americanish.

Dwayne Johnson will headline the movie as Black Adam, the original champion of the wizard Shazam. In DC’s comic book universe, Black Adam was the original champion of the wizard Shazam. Black Adam’s superhuman powers were so immense that he could challenge anyone. However, Black Adam was banished by the wizard for thousands of years after he fell from grace.
