Ryan Reynolds Says He’s Working on Deadpool 3 For Marvel
Disney’s takeover of Fox’s entertainment assets mean that the original X-Men franchise is over. However, Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool will apparently survive the Disney purge. That’s not a huge surprise considering that Reynolds recently shared a photo of himself at Marvel Studios. However, Reynolds has now taken things a step further and confirmed the development of Deadpool 3.
While appearing on Live With Kelly and Ryan, Reynolds was asked about Deadpool’s status. And he didn’t play coy with his response.
“We’re working on it right now with the whole team,” said Reynolds. “We’re over at Marvel [Studios] now, which is like the big leagues all of a sudden. It’s kinda crazy. So yeah, we’re working on it.”

Kevin Feige and Disney CEO Bob Iger have previously expressed a willingness for Deadpool movies to remain R-rated. But it’s still unclear if they will actually follow through and make Marvel Studios’ first-ever R-rated flick.
As for Deadpool himself, his inclusion in the MCU would be ripe for fourth wall-breaking material. But considering that Marvel Studios has already announced its film slate through 2021, the soonest Deadpool 3 could arrive would be in 2022 or 2023.
