The first film in the newly established DC universe, Superman, already gave a glimpse at the Green Lantern Corps, who are poised to be a key part of the DCU. With the trailer of Lanterns, the upcoming series in the James Gunn-led universe, DC has given a glimpse at at least five Green Lanterns, who will appear in the show. This includes the one fans already saw in the film, and the classic Hal Jordan. But there are a few more.
List of all Green Lanterns in DCU after new trailer
Here are all the Green Lanterns in the new trailer for Lanterns.
Hal Jordan
DC’s most renowned character to be a Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, who has had multiple on-screen appearances in the past, will return for the new DCU series. Hal will be tasked with teaching the new recruits the ways of the Corps. Hal Jordan has been the central figure of the Corps for decades.
Kyle Chandler will take on the role of Hal Jordan in Lanterns. Ryan Reynolds previously played the role in a disconnected DC film.
Guy Gardner
Already introduced in the film, Guy Gardner will return to the screens in Lanterns and will possibly be one of the main characters in the story. Also a part of the Justice Gang, Gardner has already made an appearance in Peacemaker, as well.
Guy Gardner is also a veteran character in the comics and has been around for a very long time. Nathan Fillion plays the role in the series.
John Stewart
The trailer for Lanterns introduced John Stewart, a member of the Corps whom Hal will train. The show will follow John’s journey from the start. He is slated to become one of the most important characters in the Corps going ahead.
Aaron Pierre will play John in the DCU. This is his first live-action appearance.
Ch’p
The squirrel-like Green Lantern, Ch’p, also exists in the DCU, according to the trailer. This is indicated in a dialogue exchange between John and Hal. Created by Paul Kupperberg and Don Newton, Ch’p is an alien who has been a part of the Corps for a long time now.
Sinestro
Lanterns will also bring Sinestro to the screens. Sinestro is Hal Jordan’s former mentor and a former member of the Green Lantern Corps. He acts as the primary villain for the group despite being an ex-member himself.
He was not directly in the trailer for Lanterns, but Ulrich Thomsen has been confirmed to be playing the role.
Sinestro has appeared in other DC projects before.
Lanterns will premiere in August 2026.
