The Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again serves as a sequel to Netflix’s Daredevil.
The direction of the show, which was initially designed as an 18-episodic reimagining, changed after six episodes were shot. Marvel made changes to the creative team and took on Dario Scardapane, who became its showrunner. This was done to ensure that the new series better matches the tone and storytelling approach of the original Netflix series. The rewritten narrative retains much of the original footage while incorporating new material.
Charlie Cox (Daredevil) and Vincent D’Onofrio (Kingpin) reprise their roles, continuing their arcs from Netflix’s Daredevil.
