Following the effects of a Gamma bomb, radioactive rays induce a change in scientist Bruce Banner. Whenever he becomes enraged, a metamorphosis ensues, and he becomes the Incredible Hulk. A nigh-indestructible danger to those in his vicinity, the Hulk nonetheless mostly fights on the side of good.
