Burning Godzilla and Mechagodzilla Join Super7’s Ultimates

Super7 began as a magazine dedicated to Japanese toys, and Godzilla in particular. So they’ve always had much love for the big radioactive lizard. Thus, only a couple months since they debuted the first Godzilla Ultimates figures, it’s already time to start preorders on wave 2. For this round, we get Burning Godzilla and Mechagodzilla, perhaps establishing a pattern of one Godzilla and one foe per wave.

Both figures represent the Heisei era of Toho films. Burning Godzilla hails from 1995’s Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, and includes removable smoke clouds that attach to his flame-streaked body. Mechagodzilla derives from the 1993 Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla, and includes an alternate stomach plate, Garuda jet, forearm thrusters and exhaust effects. And unlike many previous toys, he’s articulated enough to put in a flying pose as well as standing attacks.
