TMNT Turtles in Time Series 2 Figures Further Salute the ’90s Game

Many were the days back in 1992 that one could while away playing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game. Whether in the arcade itself, or ported to a home system, those turtle boys didn’t cut us no slack when it came to time consumption. The second arcade game, and the fourth Nintendo game, Turtles in Time saw the sewer-dwelling foursome battle Shredder’s minions in the past and future. And players could throw Foot Clan members at the screen, which was pretty cool.

NECA‘s newly expanded TMNT license includes a video game line, featuring key characters in pixilated repaints to represent older game visuals. The first series based on Turtles in Time hits stores shortly, and now the company has a follow-up selection already. Complete the turtle quartet with Michelangelo and Raphael on their hover-boards. Then have them face off against villains Shredder and Leatherhead!

Available strictly through specialty stores, these figures feature unique paint jobs and accessories. From the Turtles’ hover-boards to Shredder’s flamethrower effects, they really capture the in-game action. Moreover, Shredder even has his own lightsaber, er, “beam sword” to wield. Each figure comes in an arcade cabinet-style window box, and retails for around $25.

Previous video game versions of the Turtles, Shredder, and the Foot Clan saw release in Comic-Con exclusive boxed sets. The hover-boards with dynamic display stands are new to the single releases. Expect this latest series to hit the shelves in May.
