10 DC Comics Cities Perfect for Their Own TV Series

TERREBONNE PARISH

Notable Locations? Belle Reve Penitentiary, Stonechat Museum.

What’s the focus? Yes, this one is actually a real place, and to be specific it’s a county not a city, but it is very important in the world of the DCU. Not only does Terrebonne Parish house the heroes Swamp Thing and one of the bases of operation for Hawkman and Hawkgirl, but it’s the location of Belle Reve Penitentiary, the metahuman prison. In the same vein as “Gotham,” it would be interesting to see the regular people of the area be the focus over the super-powered inhabitants. Imagine a small southern town where a new federal prison is being built, but no one that lives in the town is aware that it’s for the world’s supervillains, in addition to being a home base for Task Force X. Meanwhile a green monster has been seen wondering in the nearby swamps. A conspiracy-driven series that lays the ground work for the best villains in the DCU we haven’t seen on the big screen.

One of the newest cities added to the DCU is home to many heroes, but they don’t just fight crime. Learn which city on page 5!
