Titan Comics has revealed a first look at Rebel Moon: House of the Bloodaxe, the upcoming comic book series that serves as a prequel to Zack Snyder‘s Netflix space opera Rebel Moon.
Based on a story by Snyder, House of the Bloodaxe is scripted by Mags Visaggio and illustrated by Clark Bint. The comic centers on the reluctant leader of the Bloodaxe family. War looms on the horizon of the planet Shasu, and it falls to him to maintain peace. To do this will require settling the conflicts within his heart and his family, before his entire world erupts in violence. At this time, Titan has shared four fully-lettered preview pages from House of the Bloodaxe #1. The publisher has also revealed the collectible covers for the debut issue.

Rebel Moon: House of the Bloodaxe cover variants
Titan Comics has assembled an impressive team of cover artists for the first issue of Rebel House of the Bloodaxe. The main cover is provided by Artgerm, and will also have foil and virgin sketch variants. Rafael Albuquerque, Baldemar Rivas, Andrea Olmpieri, and Federico Bertoni provide additional variant covers.
Rebel Moon releases on Netflix this December
Rebel Moon is an upcoming sci-fi film directed and co-written by Zack Snyder. Releasing on Netflix on December 22, 2023, the movie stars Sofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Charlie Hunnam, Ray Fisher, Anthony Hopkins, Jena Malone, and Ed Skrein. The film will also receive a brief theatrical release in some markets. A sequel, which was filmed at the same time as the first movie, will follow on April 19, 2024.
Rebel Moon: House of the Bloodaxe #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere on January 10, 2024.
