Exclusive Preview: Savage Avengers #21

Conan the Barbarian now lives in the present day Marvel Universe. However, Conan’s introduction to the modern world has been rocky from the start. Conan’s old nemesis, Kulan Gath, is also alive in this time frame. And the evil wizard has already cursed the so-called Savage Avengers, including Conan, Wolverine, Elektra, Venom, and Doctor Voodoo.

Regardless of the personal risk to themselves, Doctor Strange and Magik have joined the ongoing battle against Kulan Gath. Unfortunately, Kulan Gath’s rise to power has also continued unabated.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Savage Avengers #21, Gerry Duggan and artist Patch Zircher catch up with Conan in his new home: the Hellfire Club’s New York mansion. That’s why Conan is visited by Emma Frost a.k.a. the White Queen. Emma’s not exactly enamored by Conan, but she wants Wolverine to owe her a favor. And once Conan is done with this encounter, he’ll have to get ready for the spirit of vengeance: Ghost Rider!

Here’s the official description from Marvel.

“Nightmare comes for the Marvel Universe and the Doctor is out, but luckily, Conan and Ghost Rider are IN. Flaming skulls are things Conan usually extinguishes with swords, but he’s vaguely okay with Johnny Blaze.“
