Exclusive Preview: Savage Avengers #12

Just over a year ago, Savage Avengers brought together the unlikely team of Wolverine, Punisher, Elektra, Conan the Barbarian, Doctor Voodoo, and Venom to face a sorcerer from Conan’s time, Kulan Gath. The heroes survived the encounter, but Kulan Gath warned that they would be his slaves inside a year.

Kulan Gath has been trying to revive “He who sleeps, but shall awaken”: the elder god, Shuma-Gorath. However, Kulan Gath doesn’t simply want to bring Shuma-Gorath into this world. He wants Shuma-Gorath’s power for himself. That’s drawn the attention of Doctor Strange, who has joined the fight against Kulan Gath. It’s also allowed Strange to get much closer to Elektra than either of them anticipated.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Savage Avengers #12, Gerry Duggan and artist Adam Gorham show us a glimpse of Doctor Strange and Elektra’s night together. But don’t expect it to become a regular thing. Their next stop may literally be Hell.

Here’s the official description from Marvel.

“Something is killing the Shuma Goraths! That’s usually great news, but Kulan Gath thinks he’s finally figured out how to consume the elder god, and it’s BAD NEWS for our plane of existence. Dr. Strange and Elektra recruit Conan for their plan to kill Kulan Gath. Now that is some GREAT NEWS.”
