Exclusive Preview: Empyre: Savage Avengers #1

For months, Conan the Barbarian has been stranded in the modern Marvel Universe. Regardless, he’s proven to be largely adaptable in his new home. Conan has even made a few allies within the pages of Savage Avengers. He’s also managed to avoid getting caught up in battles that don’t concern him. But that’s about to change now that Empyre has begun.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Empyre: Savage Avengers #1, Gerry Duggan and artist Greg Smallwood catch up with Conan in South America. However, Conan is far from satisfied by the local Lucha Libre wrestlers. Perhaps he’ll be more impressed by the alien planets that are invading the Earth. The Empyre has staked its claim on Earth, and Conan will answer the call!

Here’s the official description from Marvel.

“In South America, Conan finds himself enslaved – which is typically bad news for those attempting to do the enslaving! But these enslavers come from beyond the stars, and they’ve got a singular and grisly end in store for the Cimmerian – one that only Venom can help him avoid!”
