Rob Liefeld Shares a First Look At Snake Eyes: Deadgame #1

Last year, IDW announced that Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld will tackle the G.I. Joe fan favorite, Snake Eyes in an upcoming miniseries. Now, via The Hollywood Reporter, Liefeld has shared the first look at Snake Eyes: Deadgame #1.

According to THR, Snake Eyes: Deadgame will introduce a new version of the Intruder, an alien threat from the original G.I. Joe figure line.

“I approached it as this gigantic Mission: Impossible that he has been dispatched on,” said Liefeld. “As the layers get peeled away, it makes the threat more enormous. Your character is always best when he is in completely over his head, and Snake Eyes finds out in the middle issue one just how in over his head he is.”

Presumably the story will also include Snake Eyes’ lover, Scarlett; as well as his frequent rival, Storm Shadow. Both are present in the cover image for issue 1. However, the preview pages may feature a glimpse of the new Intruder. You can check out the images in our gallery below.
