Exclusive Preview: Detective Comics #1019

There’s a new day and a new year in Gotham City. But Batman still has some leftover business from 2019. His closest companion, Alfred Pennyworth, is gone, and for the first time in years, the Dark Knight is truly alone. Meanwhile, Gotham has been plagued by a new Christmas killer who has already made it a bloody holiday season. Now, the killer has an even bigger target in his sights.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Detective Comics #1019, Peter Tomasi and artist Scott Godlewski place Bruce Wayne in a tricky spot. The Christmas killer has come for him at a public event, and he has to find a way to survive and stop the killer without becoming Batman. Regardless of Bruce’s claims about “acting,” even the Gotham City will have to ask questions about this display.
