Exclusive Preview: Captain Marvel #9

Everyone loves Captain Marvel in the Marvel Universe…or at least they used to. Unfortunately, Carol Danvers has been outed as a human/Kree hybrid, and it’s changed the way that people view her. She’s been hit by an unrelenting wave of bad publicity. So much so that it can’t be a coincidence. Someone is gunning for Captain Marvel, and they may even behind Carol’s recent power fluctuations. Carol’s enemy, Minn-Erva, has come forward as an ally in her time of need. But can Minn-Erva really be trusted?

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Captain Marvel #9, Kelly Thompson and Carmen Carnero strip another thing from Carol’s life. Until now, Carol was in charge of Alpha Flight, Earth’s first line of defense against aliens. But that’s over now. At least Carol’s love life is in good shape, but her powers are once again failing her when she needs them most.

Here’s the official description from Marvel: “A STAR RISES, ANOTHER FALLS! Being Captain Marvel has been the greatest joy of Carol Danvers’ life.
