Ever since Chadwick Boseman’s tragic and untimely demise in 2020, Marvel Studios has struggled to decide on a coherent arc for its on-screen Black Panther. Released in 2022, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was the latest MCU project to feature the African superhero. However, Marvel seems determined to continue with the Black Panther story, with an upcoming animated show set to expand upon the established narrative. Titled Black Panther: Eyes of Wakanda, the limited series has now received a release date as well as the official logo from its creators.
Black Panther: Eyes of Wakanda to release on Disney+ in 2025
As per the latest updates, the upcoming series will be coming out on Disney+ on August 6, 2025.
The news regarding the revelation of Black Panther: Eyes of Wakanda’s release date and logo was first circulated by The Direct. According to the outlet, the aforementioned details about the forthcoming series were disclosed in an official press release by Marvel Studios.
Black Panther: Eyes of Wakanda will reportedly span a mere four episodes and will operate as a one-off miniseries. This puts the show on par with the upcoming Marvel Zombies as the MCU series with the lowest episode count. According to the official description, the Black Panther series will revolve around the adventures of historical Wakandan warriors. They will travel across the globe to secure hijacked vibranium artifacts.
Aside from the release date, Marvel Studios have also revealed the official logo for Black Panther: Eyes of Wakanda. The show’s emblem simply showcases the title card in a stylistic way. Two glittering purple lines envelop the series’ name, written in capital, white, and bold letters.

Meanwhile, the voice cast of Eyes of Wakanda currently remains under wraps. Rumors have indicated that Danai Gurira, who plays Okoye in the MCU, could be reprising her iconic role for the series. However, Marvel Studios has yet to provide an official confirmation regarding the same. Black Panther director Ryan Coogler returns to the setup, this time as a producer, while Todd Harris serves as the show’s director.
