Gotham Knights Character Trailer Shows off Robin’s New Tech

Bruce Wayne’s sudden demise is bound to affect the surviving members of the Bat Family in different ways. But in the case of Tim Drake, suiting up as Robin without the Dark Knight close behind him is going to be a difficult adjustment. Fortunately, he doesn’t have to face Gotham City’s latest threat by himself. After giving Nightwing his own character trailer earlier this month, WB Games Montréal has released a new preview for Gotham Knights that shows us what the new Boy Wonder can do.

Tim (voiced by Sloane Morgan Siegel) narrates the trailer, wondering if it’s possible for there to even be a Robin now that Batman is out of the picture. Regardless, he makes a pretty good case for Gotham to trust him. The new footage highlights Robin’s unique fighting style, which seems to rely on a mix of staff combat and slingshot maneuvers. He can also use stealth technology to turn himself invisible and get the jump on his enemies.

You can watch the new Robin teaser in the player below. As with the previously-released Nightwing trailer, it also features a look at several of the character’s bonus costumes that players can unlock throughout the game’s campaign.

However, the most valuable asset in Robin’s bag of tricks is the ability to teleport. By reverse-engineering the same tech used on the Justice League satellite, Tim can now cover short distances in the blink of an eye, which should come in handy when players need to get themselves out of a jam.

Gotham Knights will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 25.
