Batman’s original partner-in-crimefighting is all grown up and ready to leave his mark on the city he calls home. Today’s Summer Game Fest unleashed a fresh look at WB Games Montréal’s Gotham Knights with a brand new trailer spotlighting Dick Grayson/Nightwing.
All four of Gotham Knights’ playable heroes will feature their own unique combat mechanics. Based on this latest footage, Nightwing’s style is heavily rooted in acrobatics, which makes sense, given his past as a circus performer. The new trailer shows Nightwing engaging a wide array of goons using a flurry of punches and kicks. Plus, he also has an arsenal of gadgets and a trusty pair of batons to help him out against stronger enemies.

Picking up in the aftermath of Bruce Wayne’s apparent death, Gotham Knights will give players control of four different members of the Bat Family as they step up to become their city’s newest protectors. Robin (Tim Drake), Batgirl (Barbara Gordon), and Red Hood (Jason Todd) will all factor into the story as well. In addition to classic Batman rogues like Penguin and Mr. Freeze, the game will also feature the Court of Owls, the shadow organization that has been operating in Gotham for centuries.
Gotham Knights will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 25.
