It’s been almost six months since Marvel’s Avengers added a hero to the lineup. However, the next playable character is on the horizon. Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have confirmed that the next hero will be Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor. This was previously leaked by a streamer who goes by the name of mmmmmmmmiller. But it remains to be seen when the Mighty Thor will make her debut.
Earlier this week, the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer offered the first look at Jane as the Mighty Thor. So it’s no coincidence that this announcement was held until now. Presumably, Mighty Thor will become available as a free DLC character in July to coincide with the film. But for now, the developers have only said that she will be included with the 2.5 update.

“Our Hero designs are driven first and foremost by their core comic book identities, so, as a fellow wielder of Mjolnir, her suite of abilities will have a lot in common with the Odinson’s,” wrote the developers. “However she will also have elements that are distinctly Jane. More details on how Jane will come to life in our game will be coming in the future.”
Who will be the next hero after Mighty Thor? The early rumors suggest She-Hulk, which will likely happen around the Disney+ debut of the She-Hulk series. It’s also unclear if either Mighty Thor or She-Hulk will get their own DLC mission campaign.
