Batman is out of the picture in Gotham Knights. Regardless of whether you believe that the Dark Knight is really gone, the Bat family is going to have to step up. This means that Gotham City’s protectors are now Nightwing, Robin, Red Hood, and Batgirl. Together, they may rule the night. However, someone else owns Gotham itself in the new Gotham Knights trailer.
As part of DC FanDome, the Gotham Knights story trailer made its debut. In the clip, Penguin tells a very skeptical Nightwing that the Court of Owls is real. He also insinuates that the Court is listening to them as they speak. Additionally, the video offers up an intriguing visual of Batgirl wearing one of the Owl masks.

The co-creators of the Court of Owls, Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo, also shared their thoughts on seeing their creation evolve in the game within the video below.
Here’s the official description for the game:
“Batman, Jim Gordon – they thought they had a handle on Gotham City, but there are hidden forces at play that no one talks about. It is up to the Gotham Knights – Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin – to uncover the secrets of this city’s past before it’s too late. But beware, the Court of Owls is always watching, always listening.”
Gotham Knights will hit PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Microsoft Windows in 2022.
