The Boys Showrunner: Season 4 Will Have ‘The Craziest Thing We’ve Ever Done’

Showrunner Eric Kripke has teased that The Boys Season 4 will feature even more wild content than previous seasons.

Kripke took to Twitter to reveal that while doing postproduction on the upcoming season, he worked on a part of Season 4 that might be the “craziest thing” his team has ever done. This is quite a claim, as the Prime Video superhero series is known for its raunchy and gory content, with Season 3 already taking it further than ever before.

“I would just like to add that I was in post today, working on a Season 4 scene that miiiiiiight be the batshit craziest thing we’ve ever done,” reads the tweet. “Like I truly can’t believe we got away with it. #TheBoys #TheBoysTV”

Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Jensen Ackles. What is The Boys about?

“The Boys is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes—who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods—abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good,” reads the show’s official synopsis. “Intent on stopping the corrupt superheroes, The Boys, a group of vigilantes, continue their heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven and Vought—the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. It’s the seemingly powerless against the super-powerful.”
