Kara and Lena Are Closer Than Ever in Supergirl Episode 6.13 Photos

Fans have only a few episodes left to see Kara Danvers in action before The CW’s Supergirl wraps things up at the end of this season. But many things are still about to happen in National City in the upcoming thirteenth episode of season 6. The recently released promo showed that the titular heroine and the Super Friends would deal with a dragon in the next installment. But it also seems that the story will develop the relationship between Lena and Supergirl. The relationship between the two frenemies had highs and lows over the years, but most recently, they reconciled after the clash with Leviathan. Now, Lena might play a pivotal role in defeating her half-brother, Lex Luthor, once and for all.

Tawnia McKiernan directed the episode with a story by Dana Horgan and a teleplay by Jay Faerber and Brooke Pohl. The official synopsis for “The Gauntlet” reads:

“SUPERGIRL MUST PASS THE TEST OF COURAGE – Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and team race Nyxly (Peta Sergeant) for control of a magical totem that controls courage. Supergirl and Nyxly battle and each get a piece of the totem but learn the first person to pass the test of courage will gain control of the entire thing. Meanwhile, Lena (Katie McGrath) is still struggling to make sense of her newfound gift.”

Supergirl episode 6.13 will air on The CW on Sept. 28.
