What If…? Season 1 Episode 2 – What Did You Think?!

Warning: There are spoilers ahead for the second episode of What If…?

Prepare to meet the superior Star-Lord in this week’s What If…?, and it’s also a fitting tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman. The second episode of the series has hit Disney+, and we want to know what the Superhero Hype community thinks about it! This post is a place for all of you to leave your own reviews, thoughts, or anything else you want to say about What If…? season 1 episode 2.

Unlike the MCU’s Star-Lord, everyone knows who T’Challa is in this timeline. Also, there was no bigger Star-Lord fanboy than Korath the Pursuer. However, the biggest surprise was definitely Thanos’ face turn as a member of T’Challa’s crew. It was also hilarious to see the other crew members give Thanos s*** about his genocide plans.

T’Challa clearly has some history with Nebula, Thanos’ estranged daughter. Regardless, Nebula brought T’Challa and his crew into a plot against The Collector, Taneleer Tivan. Unfortunately for T’Challa, the mission brought him face-to-face with proof that Yondu lied to him. Wakanda wasn’t destroyed in a war, and his family never stopped searching for him. Yondu knew this, but he didn’t want to give up his surrogate son.

Yondu and T’Challa reconciled in time to fight back-to-back against The Collector. After making their escpae, Yondu encouraged T’Challa to follow his heart and decide whether he should return to Earth. Subsequently, T’Challa reunited with his birth family in Wakanda, and he brought his alien family with him.

And in one last scene, we learn that Peter Quill isn’t even a Dairy Queen-Lord in this reality. However, he is still part-Celestial, and that makes him valuable to his father, Ego.

We still want to know what you think. So make sure to leave your What If…? season 1 episode 2 reviews in the comment section below!
