Warning: There are spoilers ahead for The Mandalorian season 2 episode 5!
This is the day…to finally see Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian season 2. And Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice had some long-awaited answers about the Child. Disney+ has premiered the fifth episode of the season 2, and we want to know what the Superhero Hype community thinks about it!
Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) had her own problems on the planet Corvus. After masterfully taking down several attackers, Ahsoka confronted Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) and her lieutenant Lang (Michael Biehn). Elsbeth said that the people of Calodan would suffer if Ahsoka continued to fight her forces. However, Ahsoka demanded Elsbeth’s surrender and gave her a day to stand down.
When Mando and the Child arrived, Elsbeth offered him a beskar staff in return for killing Ahsoka. Regardless, Mando had no intention of honoring that deal. Instead, he briefly fought Ahsoka before introducing her to the Child. After communing with the Child via the Force, Ahsoka learned that his name is Grogu. She also told Mando that Grogu was trained at the Jedi Temple, before he was taken at the end of the Clone Wars. Additionally, Grogu’s memories of the ensuing years are unclear.

Despite Mando’s desire to leave Grogu with Ahsoka for training and protection, she was reluctant to commit because of her experience with Anakin. She also elicited Mando’s help to free the people of Calodan from Elsbeth and Lang. Ahsoka even had a duel with Elsbeth, while Mando took out Lang. When Elsbeth was defeated, Ahsoka demanded to know the whereabouts of her master: Grand Admiral Thrawn.
As Mando prepared to say goodbye to Grogu, Ahsoka reiterated her refusal to train him. Instead, she suggested that Mando take Grogu to the Jedi Temple on Tython, that may let him decide his own path in the Force. If Grogu taps into the Force there, he may be able to summon another Jedi to train him.
The Mandalorian season 2’s first five episodes are currently streaming on Disney+. Episode 6 will arrive on Friday, December 4.
