Comic-Con@Home Pulls Joss Whedon Panel From Today’s Schedule

Despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Comic-Con International is soldiering on with its biggest annual celebration of geek culture. Under the Comic-Con@Home banner, this week’s festivities includes a number of virtual panels. One of these panels was supposed to feature a spotlight on Joss Whedon. However, this appears to be no longer happening.

As ScreenRant reports, “A Zoom With Joss Whedon” has been pulled from the Comic-Con@Home schedule. The panel was originally slated for today at 5pm PST. But now, anyone who tries to visit its page on Comic-Con’s official website will only get an error message. Presumably, Whedon was going to share new information about his upcoming HBO series, The Nevers.

The disappearance of Whedon’s panel follows allegations levied against him by Justice League star Ray Fisher. In a tweet posted earlier this month, Fisher accused Whedon of acting unprofessionally while presiding over the Justice League reshoots. Fisher claimed that an NDA is keeping him from speaking further. but his comments opened the floodgates for stories of a similar nature. A few weeks after Fisher made his initial remarks, two members of Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s stunt team revived accusations against their former boss.
