Earlier this year, Marvel Studios confirmed that What If…? will be the company’s first original animated series for Disney+. Like the comic of the same name, What If…? will explore alternate worlds where stories played out differently. During CCXP earlier this month, Kevin Feige confirmed that What If…? season 2 is already in production.
Via BuzzFeed Brazil, Feige said “I’m very happy that we’re doing a What If…? series for Disney+ right now. I’ve seen most of them. We have ten for season 1. We’re already working on the next ten for season 2.
Feige went on to mention the first episode of the series, which will explore a world where Peggy Carter took the Super Soldier Serum and became Captain Carter. In that timeline, Steve Rogers fought alongside Captain Carter in an early Iron Man armor. Haley Atwell will reprise her role as Peggy for the episode.
