Dimension Films has pre-emptively bought John Unholz’s superhero spoof Comic Book: The Movie, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Described as in the vein of the “Scary Movie” franchise and the recent boxoffice hit “Date Movie,” “Comic Book” is a spoof of comic book-based films.
Dimension, which has a history of success lampooning the horror genre with its “Scary Movie” franchise, also had been developing the satire Superhero! with “Scary Movie 3” filmmakers David Zucker, Craig Mazin and Robert Weiss.
