Wilmer Valderrama has landed the lead role in El Muerto, an independent comic book adaptation that will shoot this month. Brian Cox is directing, reports Variety.
In El Muerto a 21-year-old is abducted, sacrificed and resurrected by the Aztec Gods of Death and Destiny. The film will be produced by Larry Rattner of Peninsula Films.
Valderrama has a cameo in the upcoming MGM pic “Beauty Shop.” He’s also developing several feature vehicles including “Crenshaw Blvd.,” a “Fast and the Furious”-style pic based in a mechanic shop that customizes low-rider vehicles.
