In an article talking about the current financial state of Marvel Enterprises (concentrating on Marvel Studios), Variety reports that the company and Universal Pictures are recruiting Chris Columbus to direct Sub-Mariner (aka “Namor”), due out in 2006.
Columbus directed the first two “Harry Potter” movies and hit comedies such as “Home Alone,” “Mrs. Doubtfire,” and “Nine Months”.
The trade also adds that the Deathlok movie at Paramount is now out to directors.
