Douglas Booth praises The Sandman Season 2’s ‘world-building’ in new update

Douglas Booth was recently attending the Toronto International Film Festival to promote his new movie, Young Werther. While speaking with Collider, the actor was enthusiastic about talking about his newly-released movie, however, he didn’t shy away from communicating some small details about The Sandman Season 2.

Booth mentioned that his character, Cluracan, is one of the important members of the show, and stated, “I mean, I don’t know what that tells you about how they’re gonna tell the story across these episodes. And I really, I’m not allowed to say much about the story, but I am in seven (episodes).”

Booth also expressed his excitement over his role and the upcoming season, saying “he’s a really fun character to play.” He continued, “I had so much fun with him. Ann Skelly was brilliant as Nuala. There’s not much I can say because I’ve never been on a project where they’re so secretive, and they make you sign so many things. But what I can tell you is the world-building is brilliant. It’s gone up a level even from series one. And all the additional cast is fantastic. Tom (Sturridge) is brilliant.”

The Sandman began filming in 2023 however, there is still no update on its release date. While it’s likely that the show will be released at some point in 2025, nothing is confirmed yet.
