She-Hulk Season 2 Could Feature the Multiverse, Teases Producer

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has just received a major update from Marvel Studios producer Wendy Jacobson.

The first season of She-Hulk aired on Disney+ from August to October 2022, following Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) as she balances being a lawyer and She-Hulk. The Marvel Cinematic Universe series received generally positive reviews from critics and fans, although the visual effects were criticized as looking unfinished in some scenes. She-Hulk Season 1 also ended with more than one dangling plot thread, such as the introduction of the Hulk’s son, Skaar, who was born and raised on the alien planet Sakaar.

Is She-Hulk Season 2 happening?

At the time of writing, a second season of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has not officially been ordered by Marvel Studios and Disney+. However, while speaking with ComicBook.com, Jacobson shared that a second season could find She-Hulk exploring the multiverse.

“I mean, if we’re doing more She-Hulk… What I love about She-Hulk is just kind of being in this character’s everyday life. It’s a woman in her thirties, trying to navigate her life and her career and her friendships, and oh, she just happens to also be able to turn into a Hulk. So, I think I would love to explore more of that,” she said. “There’s also a run in the comics where she goes into space and she’s adjudicating cases for the Living Tribunal. So, I either want to be super, super grounded in L.A. or I want to take her out into the multiverse, or into the universe.”

While Jacobson seems to think that She-Hulk Season 2 remains a strong possibility at Marvel, Maslany doesn’t think that the Jade Giantess’ solo series will be coming back. In January 2024, she explained, “I think we blew our budget, and Disney was like, ‘No thanks.'” The first season of She-Hulk reportedly had a budget of around $225 million, making it one of the more expensive MCU projects.
