Super7’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ultimates Wave 7 Go Bananas

After six waves of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ultimates figures by Super7, the seventh will change things up a bit. It’s not just the variety. This wave features three variant characters, two of which are turtles. It’s also that for the first time, a character deviates from his original Playmates toy design, in name and appearance. Instead of the vintage Sgt. Bananas toy, Super7 made his TMNT Magazine counterpart, Guerilla Gorilla, which was the Sergeant’s descriptive phrase rather than name originally. And he’s bigger — this upsized, 8-inch by 8-inch Turtles Ultimates wave 7 figure goes for $75 while the rest stay at the usual $55. Big apes equal money, and toy sculptors love doing them.

Also looking to sap fans’ discretionary funds will be the Triceraton, a potential army builder. He’s a big guy too, but not quite “extra surcharge” big. In a similar range: Robotic Bebop, who lacks the chrome of his predecessor but makes up for it in extra detail. Metalhead Michelangelo gets metallic paint and three interchangeable heads, while Punker Don trades his gadgets for a little anarchy. And some radical hairstyles.

Preorder all five from Super7 right now, or wait to save on shipping when other retailers add them later today. Take a look through the gallery below to get a good look at every accessory they come with. And there are many.
