There’s no better time than the Emmys to drop a new sizzle reel for a premium TV streamer. And HBO, in the wake of its decoupling from Amazon Prime, clearly looks to draw in some new fans with this new HBO Max sizzle reel. Among shows of interest to our readers, Peacemaker stands at the top, with some new footage of the shiny-masked vigilante and his patriotically painted car. John Cena used to keep Monday Night Raw tops in basic cable ratings; HBO must hope for the same magic. Here we learn that the poker-faced gun nut considers his super-suit to be a “uniform” rather than a costume.
And as 2021 continues the day-and-date debuts for Warner Bros. theatrical features, two of the biggest lures are Dune and The Matrix Resurrections. Dune‘s footage is mostly familiar, but The Matrix stuff includes a new line suggesting the passage of real-time between Matrix sequels.

It may be too early yet to see anything from the other planned DC shows on the streamer. However, we’d expect first word on those to come out of FanDome. In about a month.
