Amazon’s The Boys Spinoff Casts Three New Characters

Earlier this month, the producers behind Amazon’s The Boys spinoff welcomed Lizzie Broadway and Jaz Sinclair as the new series’ first principal cast members. Now, three more actors have been added to their ranks. Via Deadline, Shane Paul McGhie, Aimee Carrero, and Maddie Phillips have booked leading roles on the show.

The upcoming spinoff will primarily take place at a college for up-and-coming superheroes bankrolled by Vought International. McGhie, Carrero, and Phillips will all play young supes on the series. Unfortunately, we still don’t know their names or what their powers are. Broadway and Sinclair previously joined the show as other young supes named Emma and Marie, respectively.

McGhie recently had a main role on Fox’s Deputy, which lasted one season. Additionally, he has shown up on episodes of Netflix’s Unbelievable and OWN’s Greenleaf. Carrero is best known for voicing the title characters on both Elena of Avalor and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. She also starred on Freeform’s Young & Hungry. Phillips has had roles on Teenage Bounty Hunters as well as SYFY’s Ghost Wars.

Craig Rosenberg, a writer and executive producer on the flagship series, is writing the spinoff’s pilot episode. Details about his plans for the series remain slim. However, The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke has teased that the new show will be partially inspired by the G-Men story arc from Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s original comic. Most of the characters introduced in this storyline were obvious parodies of heroes appearing in Marvel’s X-Men books.
