CBS All Access has debuted a brand new set of promotional photos for the upcoming eighth episode of Star Trek: Discovery Season 3. It looks like the next episode will focus more on Cleveland Booker’s backstory. The character portrayed by David Ajala made his debut in the third season. At first, “Book” had a difficult relationship with Michael Burnham, but they grew fond of each other once they start to know each other better. According to the synopsis, Book and Burnham will travel to the planet where he lived with his family. But judging from the photos, it doesn’t look like they will have a welcoming committee for their arrival.
The set also features Mary Wiseman’s Ensign Tilly, Doug Jones’ Capt. Saru, and the rest of the USS Discovery crew. You can check out the Star Trek: Discovery Episode 3.08 photos in the gallery below.

Jonathan Frakes directed the episode written by Kenneth Lin together with Brandon A. Schultz. The official synopsis of “The Sanctuary” reads:
“Burnham and the U.S.S. Discovery crew travel to Book’s home planet to help rescue it from Osyraa, the formidable leader of the Emerald Chain. Meanwhile, Stamets and Adira continue their search for valuable information on the origin of the Burn.”
The next installment in the third season of Star Trek: Discovery will debut on CBS All Access on Thursday, Dec. 3.
